Diefenbunker Cold War Museum
This museum is an underground one. Visitors need to descend 90 feet into the Cold War bunker. The decommissioning of the bunker in 1997 led to the creation of the museum. The bunker was originally designed to protect the Canadian government from the possibility of a nuclear attack.

The Rideau Canal witnesses a surge in boat-riding during the summer. Come winter, and the canal turns into a spectacular rink for ice-skating. The 4.8-mile stretch of ice is the longest in the world. The canal stretches from Ottawa to Kingston, a distance of more than 200 km. The canal also serves as a link between River Ottawa and Lake Ontario and St Lawrence Seaway. The canal needs 24 dams and 46 locks, making it an engineering marvel of the 19th century.
